Cyber-Limerick: A Photography Night Walk to Reinvent the City

Limerick is about to reveal a different side of itself. On Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Cyber-Limerick experience invites locals and visitors alike to rediscover the city centre through a futuristic lens. More than just a stroll, this free event is an immersion into urban photography, guided by an artistic and collaborative approach.
A City Transformed by Light
Led by Artis Aura artists Avia Gurman Murphy and Céline Mermier, this walk transforms the familiar streets of Limerick into a true movie set. The concept is simple: using creative RGB lighting to dress the stone facades and dark corners of the city. Electric blue, neon pink, and acid green redefine the urban landscape, creating a striking science-fiction atmosphere.
The goal isn’t complex technical performance, but rather having fun with shadows and contrast. Whether you are a seasoned photographer with a professional kit or a hobbyist using your smartphone, the objective remains the same: capturing the city’s energy after dark through a new prism.
Collaborating with a Professional Model
A key highlight of this walk is the presence of Galynne, a professional model who will accompany the group. Unlike a classic studio session, Cyber-Limerick offers an immersive dive into street portraiture.
This is a unique opportunity for participants to practice directing a model in an outdoor setting. Thanks to Galynne’s professional expertise, it becomes easier to understand how a pose or a glance interacts with urban architecture and light play. The organizers will be on hand to share simple tips on positioning subjects, ensuring everyone leaves with powerful images.

A Moment of Sharing and Freedom
At its core, Cyber-Limerick is about a spirit of collaboration. There is no pressure for perfection; the event is designed for sharing—a place to test out shots, chat with others, and soak up the atmosphere.
For those who don’t necessarily want to take photos, it is also possible to simply “step into the frame” or observe the creative process. It is an inclusive experience, open to all, encouraging a playful connection with the urban environment.
Practical Information
The meeting point is at Todd’s Bow, Limerick, starting at 6:00 PM. While it is entirely possible to drop in and join the walk as it progresses, we highly recommend booking your spot in advance. This helps us anticipate the number of participants and ensures the best possible experience for everyone around the model and the lighting setups.
Whether you come to learn, to pose, or simply to wander through a neon-lit landscape, this evening promises to change the way you see the city. Cyber-Limerick proves that art and light can transform public space into a creative playground.
