My Fine Art Photography Exhibition in Limerick: Showcase 1 at Istabraq Hall
This August, I had the absolute pleasure of exhibiting my fine art photography as part of Limerick Showcase 1, a group exhibition presented in association with the Limerick Arts Office at Istabraq Hall (Merchant’s Quay, Limerick).
Curated by Carl Doran, the showcase highlighted the depth and diversity of Limerick’s visual arts scene, running from August 7 to August 21, 2026.
Exploring Identity and Memory Through My Fine Art Photography
For this exhibition, I created a “cabinet of curiosities” display that combined photography, memory, and spatial installation. I wanted the arrangement to feel organic yet structured, so I focused on three of my primary framed artworks:
- Joker – Fine art photographic study
- Snow – Atmospheric narrative photograph
- A Melancholy Note – Conceptual portraiture
Alongside these main pieces, I suspended smaller secondary prints using custom chain mountings from existing wall fixtures. This allowed me to build a multi-layered, floating display that gave the space a dynamic visual rhythm.
Opening Reception and Local Media Recognition
Our opening reception on Friday, August 7, 2026, was a fantastic evening shared with local art lovers, friends, and the wider Limerick cultural community.
I was also thrilled to see our show featured in the Limerick Post, alongside my talented fellow exhibiting artists: Seán Healy, Melanie O’Rourke, Pamela Dunne, Seán Guinan, and Rory Prout.

About My Practice
As a French visual artist and photographer based in Ireland (and 2024 Dublin Photographer of the Year), my work focuses on themes of human freedom, identity, and ecology. Projects like Limerick Showcase 1 are a wonderful reminder of how vibrant our local creative community is, and I’m deeply grateful to curator Carl Doran and the Limerick Arts Office for making it happen.
